The President of the Board exercises the following responsibilities:
- Directs KEMEA, coordinates the work of its sectors and oversees the implementation of the Board’s decisions;
- Convenes the Board and sets the agenda;
- Represents KEMEA before any administrative, judicial or other authority;
- Convenes the organisation’s Scientific Council;
- Ensures the preparation of the budget, balance sheet and financial report;
- Draws up and submits to the Board, for approval, the framework of KEMEA’s overall action;
- Ensures the implementation of the communication policy;
- Recommends to the Board the recruitment and placement of specialised scientific personnel; and
- Exercises any other responsibility assigned by the Operating Regulation or by decisions of the Board.
