Next stop: preventing terrorist attacks<\/p>\n

Preventing terrorist attacks in public transport requires advanced systems and security operations that can quickly identify suspicious individuals and dangerous items. In this context, the EU-funded PREVENT PCP project will increase the security in public transport through innovative procurement of technology solutions.<\/p>\n

The proposed technologies will endow public transport operators with solutions enhancing security situational awareness. Building on the outcomes of its predecessor PREVENT, this project will continue to ease coordination across the full chain of stakeholders, from transport operators to security forces and public authorities. It will implement the call for tenders for research and development services and advance competitive development of the prototypes following pre-commercial procurement principles (design stage, integration and technical verification stage, and validation in real environment stage).<\/p>\n
