With this in mind, the EU-funded DARLENE project aims to offer European LEAs a proactive security solution that will enable them to sort through massive volumes of data to predict, anticipate and prevent criminal activities.<\/p>\n To achieve this, the project will combine augmented reality (AR) capabilities with powerful machine learning algorithms, sensor information fusion techniques, 3D reconstruction, wearable technology and personalised context-aware recommendations. It will therefore develop practical and beneficial policing applications through the use of affordable, lightweight and inconspicuous AR glasses.
