In the context of KEMEA\u2019s interservice nature and aiming to further promote citizens\u2019 security and protection, a ceremony was held on August 4 2020, in Piraeus, for the delivery and donation of maritime surveillance equipment to the Hellenic Coast Guard.<\/p>\n

The equipment comprised 4 high-definition thermovision cameras each with a GPS, distance meter, compass, monitors and a support tripod.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was honored by the presence of:<\/p>\n

The Commandant of the Hellenic Coast Guard, Vice Admiral Th. Cliaris, the 2nd<\/sup> Deputy HCG Commandant Rear Admiral N. Isakoglou, the HCG General Director for Security and Law Enforcement Rear Admiral G. Karageorgos, the Director of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Minister\u2019s Office, Mr. A. Vidalis, the Director of Citizen Protection Deputy Minister\u2019s Office, Mr. G. Tsarouchis, the President of KEMEA\u2019s Board of Directors, Mr. Th. Dravillas, and KEMEA Executive Director, Vice Admiral (ret.) Mr. I. Karageorgopoulos, as well as other Hellenic Coast Guard executive officers.<\/p>\n

The ceremony started with the delivery of short speeches by the above mentioned officials, followed by a brief presentation showcasing donated equipment\u2019s operational capabilities, and concluded with the award of a commemorative plaque by the Commandant of the Hellenic Coast Guard to the President of KEMEA\u2019s Board of Directors.<\/p>\n
