The operations of the 8th Security Conference – ExpoSec 2009, were successfully concluded in March 18th at the Zappeion Cenference venue premises. The Security Conference was under the auspicies of KEMEA and the Special Secretariat of Digital Planning of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, co-organised by the SGT S.A. company. The operations begun with the salutation of the Minister of Interior Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos and a speech delivered by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms. Dora Bakoyiannis during the official dinner of the conference. A special speech introducing the proceedings of the conference was delivered by the President of the BoD of KEMEA, Professor Mr. Charalambos Papasotiriou.
The ExpoSec conference attended: the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Ivica Dacic, the Deputy Minister of Interior Mr. Ch. Markoyiannakis, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Th. Kassimis, the Deputy Minister of Maritime, Aegean and Islands Policy Mr. P. Kammenos, the MP Ms. Κ. Κanellopoulou, the MP Mr. V. Οikonomou, the Chief of the Hellenic Fire Corps Lieutenant General Mr. A. Kontokostas, the Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Fire Corps Lieutenant General Mr. S. Stefanidis, the Commander of NIS Ambassador Mr. I. Corantis, the Α\u0384 Lieutenant Commander of the NIS Mr. S. Tsitsimbis, highly ranked Officials of the Law Enforcement Agencies, as well as the Ambassador of the U.S. in Athens Mr. Daniel Speckhard nad the U.K. Mr. David Landsman. Among others, speeches were deilvered by: the Deputy Minister of Maritime, Aegean and Islands Policy Mr. P. Kammenos, the President of the Greek Parliament’s Commission regarding Defense and Foreign Affairs Issues Ms. Krinio Kanellopoulou, the Secretary General of Maritime Ports and Port Policies Mr. G. Vlachos, the Special Secretary for PPPs Mr. L.
